Abstract

Underwater diving and rescue activities are activities carried out by Koppeba, a troop group specially formed by the TNI-AL in order to maintain, overcome and guarantee the security of the movement of all TNI-AL forces. Historically, Koppeba Koarmada RI, has strengthened the ranks of the TNI-AL since May 29, 1961 (official time of formation). Koppeba personnel are divers to minimum Master Diver standard with special skills in military underwater diving and rescue. Due to the specificity of their duties, the recruitment and education system is quite selective so that the number of Koppeba personnel is very limited especially when compared to the number of KRI elements owned by the TNI-AL and the total number of TNI-AL personnel. For this reason, in order to anticipate special events in the form of general mobilization due to foreign aggression, Koppeba can be strengthened by worker divers in Indonesia. worker divers, because their expertise is a supporting component of national defense. However, in its development when given additional training in the military field it will become one of the sources as a component of the national defense reserve
