Peran TNI AL Dalam Mewujudkan Marine Environmental Resilience (Ketahanan Lingkungan Laut) Bagi Masa Depan Indonesia
Keywords:
Marine Environmental Resilience, Role of the Indonesian Navy, Healthy Indonesian OceanAbstract
Marine Environmental Resilience is a big problem for Indonesia due to efforts to exploit the sea without paying attention to aspects of conservation and preservation of the biological ecosystem within it. Damage to mangroves, coral reefs and seagrass beds has become a priority concern amidst President Joko Widodo's incessant efforts to re-establish Indonesia as a large maritime country. The Indonesian Navy as the main maritime defense force as well as a security component at sea makes various efforts to maintain the resilience of the marine environment. The Indonesian Navy leadership is aware of the importance of this for the health of the archipelago's waters and for the future of the Indonesian nation itself and to support President Jokowi's noble ideals of realizing Indonesia as the World Maritime Axis. The World Maritime Axis can be realized, among other things, when strong national resilience can be realized, one of which is the existence of strong maritime defense supporting components. Fishermen are part of this component and they will prosper when Marine Environmental Resilience is maintained.
