Abstract

Armada Jaya Exercise is the peak exercise of the Navy that is routinely conducted by the
Indonesian Navy in order to measure the readiness of all the main components of the
maritime defense. This exercise has an important strategic value in order to face various
possible threats of aggression against the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of
Indonesia. Currently, the strength of the elements belonging to the Indonesian Navy is
sufficient to carry out massive Military Operations that are simulated in the Armada Jaya
Exercise. However, considering the vast area and various battle situations (if a Military War
Operation occurs), the strength of the Indonesian Navy can still be strengthened by using
elements of ships belonging to state institutions in the maritime sector as supporting
elements. In order to improve the readiness of these supporting ship elements, the Armada
Jaya Exercise which is held in an interoperable manner with other maritime components is a
strategic thing that may be executed.
