The Indian Ocean and Pacific or Indo-Pacific environments have become theaters with quite high dynamics in recent years. Apart from being caused by its natural strategic value, this situation and conditions were also triggered by an increase in maritime security escalation, especially due to China's aggressiveness in building its military strength and not hesitating to use military methods in the form of deploying maritime forces in the area to support its national strategic goals. The disruption in the South China Sea has provoked other countries in the region to be alert, even the United States, especially its Navy, finally decided to formulate policies and play a bigger role in the South China Sea, including taking a position opposite China. Australia, as one of the countries in the region and a close partner of the United States, clearly feels inspired to also build military strength to balance the strength of regional countries. This text tries to analyze Australia's policies and strategies to build and develop their maritime power in order to balance the power of countries in the region, especially China.
