Abstract

The concept of Coastal Defense with missiles as part of the national defense strategy in the North Natuna Sea is one way to increase the national defense capability and maintain territorial sovereignty. Within the concept, Technology Forecasting can be applied to ensure that missiles are reliable and effective against military threats. Implementation of Technology Forecasting in the Coastal Defense concept requires several efforts, including increasing investment in technological infrastructure, increasing the training and skills of military personnel, and increasing international cooperation. In addition, it is also necessary to carry out periodic evaluations, develop alternative defense technologies, increase public awareness, and enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors.
